Share Issue News 2007

Turbines at Mylly shopping center, Oulu Finland

Dear Reader,

With reference to your interest in Windside wind turbines and wind energy, we are now pleased to send you information about our share issue news.

Background of the Share Issue

The strategy of Oy Windside Production Ltd has been to increase the turnover in Windside’s main market area, namely small battery charging devices for professional user groups. As the share issue proceeds, the opportunities to enter new and expanding market areas increase. The immediate need for alternative sources of renewable energy in the world is prominent and very real. At the moment, there are 240 shareholders in the company. By means of the share issue and the subvention from Tekes, the first two larger-scale, 6-meter-tall wind turbines WS-12, have been developed and manufactured. These were installed in the autumn of 2001 at the Mylly shopping centre, in Raisio, and have been in operation generating energy ever since. Annual energy production has been approx. 17000 kWh with average wind speeds in the area of less than 5m/s.

Future Visions

Export of Windside wind turbines continues to increase. Increase in turnover was 55% in the year 2006-2007. Enquiries from abroad with regard to the installation of wind turbines on buildings have shown a significant increase. As a result, the company is now in the process of planning the manufacture of the next range of wind turbines. One goal is to develop these systems with specific application for building use.

Co-operation with architects and engineering offices in several countries should produce more results over the coming years. One example is a unique Windside wind turbine, installed on the roof of an apartment building at Arabianranta, Helsinki in autumn 2004. The turbine features as a part of a lighted artwork piece. Windside Wind Turbines have also been incorporated into the designs for skyscrapers. The new larger scale turbines will introduce a wider range of opportunity and in addition they are the next step towards the development and manufacture of ever bigger and more powerful turbines and systems.

The share issue 01/2006 (continuing till 12/2007):

CTo finance product development, production resources and marketing efforts, Windside Production Ltd has, by decision of the extraordinary general meeting 28th January 2006, decided to offer the B-shares of the company for subscription in the new share issue.
